Alcohol has proven warming effects to the body, and cognac does the job right, while delivering amazing flavors. We asked Ben why Cognac is his favorite ingredient in making his cocktails. He responded by saying, “Cognac is a versatile liquor. Though I love enjoying the dynamic flavors of it in a snifter after dinner, it’s a delicious ingredient in cocktails. For example, in What the Dickens, the pear and apple notes in the cognac blend well with the juices in the cocktail. Also, the warm vanilla and caramel flavors from the oak barrel aging of cognac balance out the bitters.”
