You’ll fall in love with best friends, Alie Ward and Georgia Hardstark , for their uncanny humor and impeccable taste in libations as evidenced in their show with Cooking Channel, “Unique Sweets” and their own Web series, “Classy Ladies with Alie & Georgia.”
Alie is a staff writer for the LA Times, while Georgia Hardstark worked as a receptionist. Their chemistry and sense of humor has led them to become famous with their viral how-to video about a farcical cocktail recipe they aptly named as the “McNuggetini.”
The girls are very bold and creative with their concoctions, and the recipe they sent us was no different. Their recipe for “Gin and Cranberry Sauce Cocktail” makes an ingenious use of leftover cocktail.
Gin and Cranberry Sauce Cocktail
2 tablespoons cranberry sauce(without whole berries)
2 oz. gin
½ oz. fresh lime juice
2 dashes bitters, such as Peychaud’s
Sprig of fresh rosemary
Method
1. Grab some leftover cranberry sauce and — avoiding the whole berries — add 2 tablespoons to a shaker with the gin, lime juice and bitters.
2. Add ice, shake very vigorously at least 30 to 45 seconds and strain through a mesh strainer into a chilled coupe glass.
3.Smack a sprig of rosemary between palms to release aroma/holiday aggression and float delicately atop the cocktail. Toast to well-purposed leftovers.
