B&H Lifes, a pet supplement manufacturer in Japan, has raised the bar when it comes to pampering your pet with the latest novelty.

The company is offering wine exclusively made for felines called “Nyan Nyan Nouveau” — Japanese for “meow.”
The company, which also produces Wan Wan Beer for dogs, named the wine for Beaujolais Nouveau, a popular French brand of wine, and “nyan nyan,” the Japanese translation of “meow”
A limited production of 1000 bottles of the non-alcoholic beverage will be sold for $4 per bottle and is made from the juice of Cabernet Franc grapes, vitamin C and catnip. B&H admits that during the testing procedure, cats were not attracted to the faux wine.
After the production of Wan Wan Beer for dogs, the company claims they received numerous requests from customers asking for “a drink for my cat that we can celebrate Christmas and birthdays with!”
So B&H Lifes is marketing the wine as a festive treat allowing pets to join in the celebrations during Christmas, New Year, birthdays, and even the annual release of Beaujolais Nouveau every November, of which Japan is the world’s second-largest consumer after Germany.
As Wine-Searcher humorously notes:“It can also be served to celebrate the cat’s birthday, and will allow feline participation during the owner’s post-work happy hour.”
Nyan Nyan Nouveau is available for purchase at B&H Life’s online store.
