None of us wantonly exposes our bodies, or our children’s bodies, to the harmful chemicals in processed foods.
But with more than 3,000 food additives such as preservatives, flavorings, colors and other ingredients added to US foods, it’s difficult to avoid them unless you eliminate all processed foods.
Obviously the best course of action would be to avoid processed foods completely, but for some of us that may not be practical. The next best thing is to avoid foods containing ingredients that cause the most damage.
Andrea Donsky, founder of NaturallySavvy.com, highlights seven ingredients you should avoid eating, and refers to them as the “Scary Seven.”
